Even just looking at the basics, like a fantastic climate and a location between two capital cities, Coffs Harbour presents an attractive lifestyle destination. However, long gone are the days of it being a quick stop on a family road trip along the east coast. The Big Banana is still there, however, savvy investors are realising that there’s much more to this stunning beach town.

Recreation on a backdrop of natural wonders

Recreation is top priority in Coffs Harbour, with options like the International Marina.

Recreation on a backdrop of natural wonders

Coffs Harbour and the surrounding regions offer a dazzling array of recreational fun, all within a short walk or drive and set on a backdrop of incredible beauty. First up, there’s the beaches, of which are impossible to choose from for a weekend swim. In the immediate vicinity of town, you’ll find popular Park Beach, Jetty Beach and Boambee Beach. A short drive will get you to Diggers, Shelley, Emerald and Fiddamans beaches. When you love sand, sun and sea, the Coffs Coast never ceases to impress.

The coast is only rivalled by ancient rainforests, waterfalls and rolling hills, all within an easy day trip. For one, you’re not far from the scenic Waterfall Way and the World Heritage-listed rainforests of Dorrigo National Park. Then, there’s the Orara East State Forest, with walking trails and panoramic views from the Forest Sky Pier. Just up the road, the bohemian town of Bellingen is literally nestled in the rainforest.

Strong economic and population growth

Coffs Harbour already offers sustainable economic and growth infrastructure, however projects in the works will see the town move from a beach destination to a thriving centre. Upgrades are underway to the Coffs Harbour Hospital, to increase medical services throughout the region. The Coffs Coast Regional Sports Hub joins the Jetty 4Shores project in enhancing recreational spaces. Funding for the arts is supporting local creative endeavours and tourism is ever-increasing.

From now on, it looks like the Big Banana is going to have a lot of competition on the list of ‘things to do in Coffs Harbour’. No wonder it’s a town on the rise for savvy investors.
