Research is the key to successful property investment
Australia is not one property market but many. With more than 8,800 suburbs you need expertise, experience and research to help you find what areas are performing, despite all the doom and gloom in the media.
Whether it is possible to have strong capital growth and high rental yield on a property is hotly debated in investment circles. At DPN we have proven this is absolutely possible and have plenty of customers who have enjoyed two bites of the cherry. It’s through our thorough, fact based research and careful targeting of the areas set to explode.
We use independent research and proven methodologies to find the next hot spots. DPN's property selection process has been tested and refined over our 20 years in business. We monitor the property market and identify emerging growth suburbs, backed by infrastructure, amenities and jobs, near major cities and with stable population growth.
Using our five selection criteria, we consistently present clients with the most viable property investment options - ones with strong capital growth and a reliable rental return.
DPN presents clients with viable property investment options with a bright future.
1. Major City
Major cities are a smart investment because of some key characteristics: steady population growth, accessibility to employment, amenities and transport. Note that major cities are not limited to the capitals, areas on our radar include Geelong, Newcastle, Wollongong and the Sunshine Coast.
2. Growth Suburb
We then identify suburbs in major cities with forecast growth over 4% per annum. We find that RESIDEX™ is the most accurate provider for predictive growth forecasts in the industry. We then do an in-depth area analysis and underlying fundamentals of demand drivers.
Median priced property makes good sense for investors. An affordable rental property has broad market appeal to tenants and when it comes time to sell, you’ll have a price point attractive to buyers too.
DPN recommends investing in property with a land component wherever possible.
Land appreciates, while buildings depreciate. Historical housing data shows house values increase at a faster rate than units, which is why we usually recommend investing in property with a land component wherever possible.

Enjoy tax benefits on new properties. A new home has many advantages over purchasing an old one: higher depreciation claims, higher rent and lower maintenance costs. A new house & land package can save around 60% on stamp duty because it is paid on the land component only.
Unlike other property investment firms, DPN is not aligned with any developers. Rather, DPN works with a range of land suppliers, architects and builders to secure well priced property in areas that meet our selection criteria, backed by market leading, independent research.
At DPN we're committed to giving back to those less fortunate in society. With every property purchased, a donation of $500 is given to one of DPN's nominated charities: A21 and Watoto. Since our program's inception, DPN has given more than $190,000 to these worthwhile charities.
